Current Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Citibank Chase and Bank of America make changes

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage rates declined today but Chase and Bank of America raised their loan rates (see chart below). Citibank drastically lowered their home loans.

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) fell one basis point to 4.91 percent. Over the last 30-days the rate has fallen 34 basis points. The 100-day trend is still higher.

PNC lowered their rate while HSBC raised them. Citibank lowered their 30-year mortgages 21 basis points to 4.92 percent.

Current Mortgage Interest Rates – Weekly Trend Lower

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage rates were slightly higher today but still lower for the week (see chart below).

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) increased less than one basis point to 4.918 percent. Over the week it has fallen four points. Over the last month it fell 31 points.

Despite the recent decline, the 100-day trend is 57 basis points higher.

Current Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Mixed but Higher Overall

(Best Syndication News) Average mortgage rates were slightly higher today with U.S. Bank and Citibank lowering them (see rate chart below).

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) increased one basis point today to 4.915 percent. Over the last week that product has fallen seven points and over the last month it has dropped 24 basis points.

U.S. Bank lowered their rate one basis point to 4.71 percent. Their FHA and VA rates remained the same. Over the last 100-days their mortgages have increased in cost. The monthly and weekly trend is still lower.

Current Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Lower Again with Changes at Citibank and SunTrust

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage rates were lower again today with changes at PNC, SunTrust, Citibank and U.S. Bank (see rate chart below).

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) fell two basis points to 4.908 percent. This is the eighth straight day of declines. After plugging the rate into a mortgage calculator we found monthly payments of $1,513 on a $285,000 loan.

Some lenders will charge points and fees. Most homebuyers are looking for mortgages with no closing costs. Points can be paid up front to reduce the overall interest rate.

Current Mortgage Rates Today – Bank Rates Lower Seven Days In Row

(Best Syndication News) Nearly all of the major banks made some changes to their interest rates today (see rate chart below). Some of the biggest changes were made at PNC, HSBC and U.S. Bank.

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage fell three basis points to 4.930% today. This average has been declining seven business days straight. Over the last five days, the rate has fallen 13 basis points.

Citibank increased their rate two basis points to 5.15 percent. Citi and Bank of America were two lending institutions that advanced their loan products while the others lowered them.
