Stock Market this Week – Petrohawk (HK) Range Resources (RRC) and Clorox (CLX)

(Best Syndication News) Stock Markets around the world were mostly lower last week (see stock market charts below). Of the 20 indexes we monitor, only the Shanghai composite index was higher for the week. The CAC 40 index (France) fell more than any other.

Sectors Analysis

While nearly all of the business sectors were lower this week, the S&P 500 energy sector grew 2.21 percent (see sector charts below). Higher oil prices helped push this index up. The S&P materials sector grew 0.53 percent for the week.

Stock Market Today – Citigroup Mattel and Genuine Auto Parts Earnings Reports Friday

(Best Syndication News) Markets around the world declined in value after a day of reprieve on Wednesday (see market charts below). The Hang Seng index and the Shanghai composite indexes were a few of the advancing markets.

Earnings Reports

Earnings have been better than expected for some companies this week. On Friday Citigroup, Mattel and Genuine Parts will release their earnings reports (see comparison chart below).

Stock Market Today – Quarterly Earnings Reports for GOOG JPM and FCS

(Best Syndication News) Most stock markets around the world were higher Wednesday with the exception of the Taiwan Stock Exchange (see charts below). Although the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) was higher on Wednesday, it is still lower for the week.

Earnings Analysis

Several major companies will report earnings on Thursday including Google, JPMorgan Chase and Fairchild Semiconductor.

Stock Market Today – Quarterly Earnings Reports Expected for YUM MAR and ADTN

(Best Syndication News) Stock markets around the world were lower today with few exceptions (see charts below). While the Toronto Stock Exchange gained value on Tuesday, the Brazilian São Paulo Stock, Mercantile & Futures Exchange (Bovespa Index) hit a 100-day low.

On Wednesday several companies will be reporting earnings. After the market closes Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) will make public their Q2 2011 Inc Earnings Release. The Street expects earnings per share (EPS) of $0.37.

Stock Market Today – Bank of America (BAC) and JPMorgan (JPM) Biggest Dow Losers

(Best Syndication News) Markets around the world were lower Monday with the exception of the Shanghai composite index (see stock charts below). On Tuesday the east Asian indexes were lower, including the Shanghai, Nikkei and Hang Seng Indexes.

Dow Jones

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index fell 151.44 points (-1.20%) to 12,505.76. Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) were the big DJIA losers on Monday (see Dow constituent chart below). Both companies hit 100-day lows.
