Californians Buried in Government Debt

(Best Syndication News) Remember the federal "economic stimulus" bill that was supposed to curtail job losses and prevent our economy from failing? Well, despite the rosy assurances from President Obama and Congress, unemployment remains high and the economy is teetering on the verge of a double-dip recession. The only thing that appears to be "stimulated" is the national debt, which is now a jaw-dropping - and record high - $13.2 trillion.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office recently laid out a sobering potential future for America as part of its long-term budget outlook, in which the national debt reaches 90 percent of Gross Domestic Product by 2020.

(Best Syndication News) Washington, D.C.—U.S. House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-Calif.) today applauded the signing into law of new U.S. sanctions targeting Iran’s nuclear program.

In the following statement released today, McKeon also called upon the President to ensure the Administration implements the sanctions included in the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability and Divestment Act of 2010 in the most aggressive manner possible:

“With the enactment of new U.S. government sanctions, the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions can no longer go unanswered. The theocracy will now be forced to choose between the economic prosperity of its citizens and a nuclear program that has been condemned by the international community.

“By signing the Iran Sanctions Bill into law, President Obama has committed his Administration to fully enforcing these sanctions. Along with many of my House colleagues, I believe the President should implement these sanctions aggressively and without delay.

“Additionally, I will continue to work to ensure that specific provisions within the House-passed defense authorization bill, which prohibit the Pentagon from contracting with entities that engage in commerce with Iran's energy sector, are signed into law.”

(Best Syndication News) WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) today issued the following statement after President Obama’s immigration reform speech at American University:

“Americans are tired of empty promises where immigration is concerned. They are angry and alarmed by the increasing number of illegal immigrants and violent drug cartels along the borders.

“In his immigration reform speech, the President unfortunately outlined a path to citizenship for the over20 million illegal immigrants currently living in our country, when the majority of Americans – including me – oppose any form of amnesty. It only creates an incentive for illegal immigrants to hold out within our borders until they are no longer considered illegal. For what other criminal acts do we grant such immunity?

[Best Syndication News] With the threat of individual health insurance plans in California potentially being kicked out of the state for possible non-compliance with the state laws, some people with individual health insurance policies are probably holding their breath in hopes to have reasonably priced health insurance that will still cover them. The question looms in many people's minds how do you get health insurance if you can't afford it or if you have a pre-existing condition. Here are some different ideas to get health insurance or medical care when you have a pre-existing condition.

A divorced lady was sharing her plan to get health insurance coverage on the day-time syndicated television show 'The Doctors.' She has posted her plea for a man to marry that has a good health insurance plan. So far she has received 7,000 marriage proposals. The doctors asked her if she would seriously marry someone just for good health insurance. She said yeah, but at the same time she hasn't agreed to marry anyone yet. She pointed out on the show that if she went to prison she could get the necessary health care and medication. She spends 90 percent of her income paying for her medications and medical care. She is a working person that can't get health insurance, but if she marries she could get covered.

(Best Syndication News) CHICAGO IL - You'd think agribusiness would welcome Michael "rBGH" Taylor's promotion to deputy commissioner of foods last month.

The former Monsanto operative, while at the FDA in the 1980's, legalized bovine growth hormone in milk, subsequent genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and no labeling of same in one swoop of the government/industry revolving door. Thanks for that.

Now bovine growth hormone (rBGH sold as Posilac), owned by Eli Lilly's Elanco animal health, is banned in milk at Wal-Mart, Kroger, Costco, Starbucks, Ben and Jerry's and entire public school systems like Chicago which now serves 280,000 rBGH-free lunches and 120,000 rBGH-free breakfasts a day.
