Americans Facing the World of the Paradigm Shift

alt text

The US has been at the pinnacle of world power since the late 1800's and American politicians and industry leaders have been able to influence the decisions of governments throughout the world.  American dominance has been so widely recognized throughout the world that America has been called “the indispensable nation”, and the last 100 years has been called “The American Century”.

The American presidency, over the time that the country rose to international prominence, became an office of unchallenged power—even to those with the constitutional responsibility to check and limit that power.  Since the end of the Civil War (or War of Northern Aggression), presidents have single handedly put American soldiers into wars.  They have almost unilaterally decided the scope and reach of America's occupation into other countries.  They have supported and promoted America's corporate executive class using the global labor market to cut the costs of labor and expand profits
to unforeseen levels.

The Third Jihad - Exposing The Truth About Radical Islam In The Us

Holy war in not only a dilemma in the middle east, but all over the world. We in recent times saw the offensive, grizzly attacks in Mumbai. Just a few well able terrorists shut down the entire contemporary metropolitan. The complete metropolis was on lock down, and everyman felt powerless.

In U.S., we fool our own selves in the direction of through to deliberating that this can't stumble upon upon us. Not in our country. We feel completely safe and shielded, going about our common lives, not burdened relative to shells in streets, supermarkets and parks. The middle east seems like a different earth, it's so far-off from us.

The Middle East countries or as some like to call it (West Asia) includes countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and the Gulf States) is claimed by westerners politicians as an area engulfed in greater violence and instability than ever before. Without asking why? As the west see it is because of the failed or failing governments the control of Arab countries is shifting to the hands of Islamist fundamentalist armed militias or similar militant organisations.

Therefore, West Asia is in a state of violence turmoil and radically opposed to the United States and the West. In fact, states like Syria and Iran are the most vulnerable and perceived threats by employing proxies like the Hezbollah and Hamas to keep the United States diverted and occupied in other theatres.

(Best Syndication News) The two Al Qaeda terror attacks in this country occurred in the first year of the new administration. Both Bill Clinton and George Bush suffered attacks in their first year. Now Cheney predicts another attack because Obama is changing the Bush policy.

It appears that Cheney believes that invading Iraq will discourage Sunnis sitting in caves in Pakistan from wanting to attack the US. Maybe he thinks young Saudi men living in the US and abroad have gained respect for the United States after helping the Iranians gain more power in the Middle East. Cheney still believes the war and occupation has made us safer.

Ron Paul Speaks Out Against H.R. 384 TARP Reform and Accountability Act

Ron Paul

(Best Syndication News) Representative Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, has introduced H.R. 384, the TARP Reform and Accountability Act, which has bypassed normal committee procedures and could come up for a vote on the House floor today.

Once again, you and I and the U.S. taxpayer are being taken to the cleaners. Well I say, let's tell them this time how we really feel.

According to Frank, this amendment will add transparency and accountability to the TARP Act. But as is standard operating procedure for the federal government, a bill posing as an effort to tighten oversight and increase accountability only further intensifies government manipulation of the market.
