Nordstrom Stores offering Free Advance Screening Tickets of Twilight Eclipse Movie with Purchase

(Best Syndication News) - Nordstrom began selling their Twilight Saga: Eclipse exclusive line of clothing at their department stores as well as online. Nordstrom is offering its customers an advance movie screening passes (up to four passes per customer) to watch the film on June 29th as a gift with a purchase of $50 or more in the BP merchandise; where the Twilight collection is located. Of course the tickets won't last forever, and they are only offering the screening passes only at certain Nordstrom stores. You have to get the screening tickets at the participating store, and online purchases don't count. Later on in June, Nordstrom will have cast from the film make personal appearances at their stores, and they will also have special styling events and parties centered around the Twilight clothing, makeup, and memorabilia collection.

CinemaNow to offer Same Day Access to New Release Movies and TV Shows

[Best Syndication News] Best Buy announced that their Roxio's online video rental service will have same-day instant access to new release movies and TV show that are released on the same-day as retail stores to Blu-ray and DVD. The CinemaNow service will be expanding support for LG Electronics Blu-ray Disc players and home theater systems that are connected to the internet.

The service supports many different ways to rent movies and TV shows to your home using the internet. You can use set top box configurations using Microsoft Media Center, Sling Media, Microsoft's Xbox 360 game console, Prodea ROS Home Center, EchoStar, Quartics, and HP Media Smart Server, as well as the LG BD370/ LG BD390 Network Blu-ray Disc Players. For portable devices, currently Cinemanow supports Archos7, Archos 605 Wireless, Archos 604, Archos 504, Archos 404, Samsung P2 and P2+, Creative Zen Vision W, and the CinemaNow Mobile Phone App. There is also support for DivX certified devices which includes, TVs, DVD and Blu-Ray players and also Sony's Playstation 3 game console.

[Best Syndication News] Pre-sales of the Twilight Eclipse tickets will go on sale this May 13th at midnight. This is going to be in conjunction with the Thursday's airing of the Oprah Winfrey show when Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart are interviewed on her daytime talk show.

The advanced ticket sales of Twilight Sage: Eclipse movie was first announced by a report in The Hollywood Reporter.

On the Oprah TV show, the Twilight stars will be going to fans homes to surprise them.

Stephenie Meyer Twilight author will have new Book available for Free for a Limited Time

[Best Syndication News] Stephenie Meyer wrote on her official website that she will be offering her novella called “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” for to read for free online for a limited time. You can also purchase a copy of the book which is going to be released in print on June 5th, 2010.

The free limited run online will be at starting at noon on June 7th and will be available to read through July 5th.

If you do decide to purchase a copy of the book the publisher has pledged that for the first 1.5 million copies of the book sold, they will donate $1 for each book sold to the Red Cross.

The book was actually supposed to be a part of the “ The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide” book. She wrote the story and it was 200 pages long when it was typeset, so they decided to publish it as a separate book.

Dennis Hopper Dying From Cancer – Honored With Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

(Best Syndication News) Besides his appearance in 161 movies, video games and documentaries, Dennis Hopper is known for his painting, sculpting and photography (see list of films below). He made his first appearance in the 1955 film “Rebel Without A Cause” but may be best known for playing the tough-guy in “Easy Rider” (1969) and the reporter in “Apocalypse Now” (1979).

The 73-year old Hopper was present today at the unveiling of his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but he was noticeable thinner and in a wheel chair. In October it was revealed that he was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. The cancer had metastasized and spread to his bones. Yesterday his attorney said he was dying from the cancer.
