Barbra Streisand Collection of Previously Unreleased Recordings to be on New Album

(Best Syndication News) - Barbra Streisand will be sharing 11 songs that were not previously included on any other album. Her new album, which includes the unreleased songs, will be titled Release Me. The vinyl recording will be available on September 25 and the CD album will be available on October 9, 2012.

The songs date back to 1963 through the present day. The recordings came from Barbra Streisand's private music vault that stored the many recordings she has made over the last fifty years. Streisand had spent the last year going over all of her recordings to decide which ones to present on this album.

A 1970 recording of Jimmy Web's “Didn't We” will be on the album. It was recorded for the project titled The Singer. In 1967, Streisand recorded the standard, “Willow Weep For Me.” She recorded Randy Newman's “I Think It's Going Rain Today.”

Her outlandish costumes and hairstyles, along with her comedy, made her a household name in the 1960’s and beyond. Diller had many plastic surgery procedures, which she would often joke about during her comedy skits.

Diller was born in Lima, Ohio on July 17, 1917. Her name at birth was Phyllis Ada Driver. In college she studied piano at the Sherwood Music Conservatory in Chicago, Illinois. Then she transferred to Bluffton College in Ohio. Diller did not feel that she was good enough to give it a go as a professional pianist.

(Best Syndication News) - Taylor Swift will be releasing her fourth studio album Red on October 22, 2012. Swift made the announcement during a live YouTube discussion with her fans today. The six-time GRAMMY winner is only 22 years old and has much to say about love and romance in her songs.

The new album will have 16 songs. Swift collaborated with a few artists, producers, and songwriters on Red. In her last album, Speak Now, Swift wrote all the songs on it. This time around, she is working with others.

Taylor Swift revealed the cover to her new album at today's YouTube discussion. Swift explained that she was working on the new album for the last two years. She called the album Red because it reflected the “tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles.”

Verizon FiOS TV app now available for Samsung Smart TV sets and Smart Blu-ray Players

(Best Syndication News) - A new Verizon FiOS TV app is now available for compatible Samsung Smart TV sets and Smart Blu-ray players. The FiOS app is found on the Samsung Smart Hub platform and will let subscribers of Verizon FIOS TV and FiOS Internet watch 26 live broadcast TV channels and over 20,000 FlexView on-demand movies and TV shows.

The new app does not require an additional set-top box. The supported Samsung TV sets and Blu-ray players will stream the content for watching.
