(Best Syndication News) - CalTrans will be closing a portion of the 405 Freeway this Friday July 15 at 7 p.m. and will reopen ramps on Monday July 18 around 6 a.m. The reason for the freeway closure is so that road construction crews can start working on a road-widening project.

It is possible that other roadways will be congested, which has prompted the local Los Angeles ABC7 news network to call this road closure event “Carmageddon.”

The website said that people should expect extreme congestion along Sepulveda Boulevard. The delays could be long and should plan accordingly. They even suggest avoiding Sepulveda Boulevard altogether if possible and plan a different travel route.
