[Best Syndication ] Dr. Oz discussed with us on Oprah yesterday about what he felt about the safety of using cell phones. While studies have shown that cell phones are safe, Dr. Oz doesn’t feel that cell phones have been used enough to truly determine their safety yet. The concern is the radiation that is given off by cell phones.

Cell phones emit radiation and some research has shown that brain cells are affected by the use of cell phones. At the same, time there has been other research saying that they are safe.

Dr. Oz is stopping by the Oprah TV show every so often to answer our medical questions. Dr. Oz is a co-author with Michael F. Roizen of top selling series of books about health including, "You: On A Diet: The Owner's Manual for Waist Management”, and, "YOU: The Owner's Manual: An Insider's Guide to the Body that Will Make You Healthier and Younger."

[Best Syndication ] One question on yesterday’s Oprah TV show with Dr. Oz was about hearing loss and listening to your favorite music with earphones.

The question, if she was to listen to her iPod with earbuds all the time, would she lose her hearing? She confessed that she listened to her MP3 music almost everywhere that she went, and she liked to wear her earbuds which go into the ear.

Dr. Oz asked people on the street if they knew what a cochlea was, and were you could find it. People were not sure and pointed to every location on their body. The cochlea is found in your ear and has tiny hairs in it that help translate sounds into messages that your brain can understand. Loud sounds overtime can cause damage to the tiny hairs and can cause permanent hearing loss. So while you may be young today enjoying the music full blast, slowly you could be damaging your hearing and won’t realize it until you get older.

Apple TV Product is now Shipping - High Definition Widescreen Support - DVD player gone High-Tech

Apple TV

Technology is merging into multimedia center points and Apple TV is just another example of connecting the computer, internet, and television together. Apple TV is now shipping and it will make it more attractive and for people to watch internet downloaded movies, listen to music and look at you digital photos on your TV set. Apple describes their new product Apple TV as a DVD player of the future.

One thing that I can say about technology is that if it isn’t intuitive it won’t be used, and this time I think Apple TV is addressing a problem with people watching movies and videos on the internet. It just didn’t make sense at all to download a mega huge movie rental off the internet when you would have less stress going down to rent the video from your local video rental store.
