Nuclear Inspectors Turned Away In Iran – Al-Jazeerah Calls NATO Imperialist – Possible Nukes Against Israel Twist

United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors were turned away from an underground shelter used to shelter uranium enrichment. This is an unprecedented refusal to allow access to the facility at Natanz, and a blow to the process aimed at non-proliferation.

The country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, says Tehran will not give up its nuclear technology. This could also increase the resolve of Western nations to “punish” the Tehran regime, according to Associated Press reporters George Jahn and Nasser Karimi. Jahn and Karimi add that the inspectors were only given a single visit visa as opposed to the customary multiple-entry permit.

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Says Israel Committed Crimes against Humanity – UN Peacekeeping Effort in Jeopardy

Lebanese Prime Minister, Fuad Saniora, called Israel’s the destruction of Beirut a “crime against humanity”. He said this while touring the Hezbollah stronghold of south Beirut devastated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Meanwhile, Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Murr warned those in his own country to keep the cease-fire. The Associated Press reports that Murr said "We consider that when the resistance (Hezbollah) is committed not to fire rockets, then any rocket that is fired from the Lebanese territory would be considered collaboration with Israel to provide a pretext (for Israel) to strike."

This comes one day after Israel commandos conducted a predawn raid into southern Lebanon, prompting UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, to declare Israel in violation of the Security Council cease-fire resolution. There have been no other clashes reported.

The President keeps telling the American people that his Iraq policy is right on course; but is it? You have to wonder what course the Administration had in mind for Iraq. New reports are indicating that things are getting worse for our soldiers and the Iraqi people. It looks like we saved the Iraqi people from the corrupt power of Saddam so that they could be killed and wounded by secular infighting.

The President terms the Iraq war as “the central front on the war on terror now," and says an early withdraw would hurt the US “credibility”. Many in the Islamic world view the war in Iraq as a success for their cause. The news footage is being used as recruiting films for potential terrorists wanting to do us harm. With each year that passes, there is more footage for this purpose.

Conditions in Iraq are Getting More Violent and Deadly – Al Quaeda Moving In - More Bombs and Dead

Nearly every aspect of the War in Iraq has gotten worse, according to military sources. There are more bombs and more people getting killed in Iraq. One senior Defense Department official told The New York Times on the condition of anonymity that “The insurgency has gotten worse by almost all measures, with insurgent attacks at historically high levels.”

In July there were 2,625 explosive devices, 1,666 exploded and 959 were discovered before they went off. Compare that to January when there were only 1,454 bombs exploded or were found.

The source told the Times that “the insurgency has more public support and is demonstrably more capable in numbers of people active and in its ability to direct violence than at any point in time.”
