Walmart in Hesperia to open in September

(Best Syndication News) - Walmart will be opening their new location in Hesperia in September. To prepare for the opening, Walmart is currently starting to interview people that are interested in working for the company. They are offering both full and part-time positions.

The company has opened a temporary hiring center at 16876 Main St., Suite E, in Hesperia, to take job applications from prospective employees. The temporary hiring location is open Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. Additionally, job seekers can apply online at http://www.careers.walmart.com if they do not want to go down in person to apply.

Airbus to open Manufacturing Plant in Alabama

(Best Syndication News) - Airbus announced today that they would be creating a manufacturing plant in Mobile, Alabama at the Brookley Aeroplex. This is the first production facility that Airbus is establishing in the United States. The plant will be assembling the A319, A320, and A321 airplanes.

The construction of the assembly plant is planned to break ground in the summer of 2013. The plant is expected to be in operation starting in 2015. The first airplane deliveries should begin around 2016. By 2018, it is expected to reach capacity of manufacturing between 40 and 50 airplanes yearly.

Fabrice Bregier, Airbus President & CEO, said at the announcement today in Mobile, that over the next 20 years, the projected demand is expected to be around 4,600 airplanes. The US is the largest market for single-aisle aircraft in the world.

The US Postal Service announce First Phase of Facility Consolidations to start this August

(Best Syndication News) - The US Postal Service announced that they would move ahead with a modified plan to consolidate 461 mail-processing locations over a 9-month period. The consolidation is expected to reduce $1.2 billion in costs.

During the first-phase of the consolidation, there will be 140 consolidations that will go on through February of 2013. The consolidating will commence start in August with 48 locations that mostly handle transferring mail processing from smaller to larger locations. Then there is no planned consolidation between September and December 2012 because they are anticipating larger mail volume because of the elections and high priority mail volume during the holidays. The consolidations will start again in the early part of 2013. The Postal Service will start notifying around 5,000 employees starting next week if they are affected from the consolidations that will happen this summer.

Best Buy announces 42 more Store Closures

(Best Syndication News) - Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) announced that they would be closing 42 store locations bringing the total closures to 50 by the end of the year. The majority of the store closures will occur on May 12, 2012, while three will remain open until late summer.

Previously, Best Buy has closed one store in Kansas City, Missouri, and another one in Scottsdale, Arizona. The company also had announced five Twin Cities store closures, and another one in San Antonio, Texas before this announcement of the additional 42 store locations closing.

GM begins construction on Stamping Facility in Arlington Texas

(Best Syndication News) - General Motors Co. (NYSE:GM, TSX: GMM) will be building a $200 million stamping factory in Arlington, Texas. The company broke ground for the project on April 13, 2012. It should be operational in 2013. The new facility could employee 180 new workers at the GM manufacturing complex.

The stamping facility will help to manufacture the full-size SUVs that are assembled at GM Arlington. The stamping of doors, hoods, and side panels at the new facility is planned to save GM around $40 million a year in logistics costs.
