Vehicle Recall - BSN

(Best Syndication News) - The US Department of Transportation's NHTSA announced today two Ford recalls. One recall involves 2001-2002 Ford Escape vehicles because brake fluid could leak and can cause electrical damage or fire. The other recall involves 2004 -2005 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles because there is a potential failure of the torque converter output shaft.

Recycling Christmas Cards and Wrapping Paper to make Biofuel

Christmas Presents - BSN

(Best Syndication News) - Scientist from the Imperial College London studied the benefits of recycling all the Christmas wrapping paper and holiday cards and turning it into a biofuel. Their study estimated that in the UK alone, 1.5 billion cards, and 83 square kilometers are thrown out during the holiday season.

The scientists estimate that the trash could be turned into around 5 – 12 million liters of biofuel. That is plenty of fuel. They illustrate their point by saying that all that fuel could transport a bus for up to 18 million kilometers. That could be a lot of fuel for cars to use.
