Dodge Charger Vehicle Recall announced for model years 2011 and 2012

(Best Syndication News) - A repair is needed for the low beam headlights on some of the 2011 – 2012 Dodge Charger vehicles because the bulb harness could overheat and cause the lights not to work. Additionally, some of the vehicles could also lose ABS/ESC system functionality because of an overheated power distribution center, which could cause braking difficulty.

There are approximately 9,688 vehicles involved in this recall reported the NHTSA government agency. The recall number issued by Chrysler is M01.

Owners of the recalled vehicles will be notified sometime during March of 2012, so that they can make arrangements to have the dealers replace the headlamp jumper harness and to reposition the ABS/ESC system fuse inside the power distribution center. There will be no charge for the repair of the recalled items. Car owners can also contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403.

Arctic Cat Snowmobile Recall announced for Steering Tie-Rod Repair

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) along with the Arctic Cat snowmobile manufacturer announced a voluntary recall. The steering tie-rod could loosen and could cause the driver of the snowmobile to lose steering control, which could lead to a crash.

Four reports have been reported to the company, with one person losing control of the steering of the snowmobile. No people have been reported as being injured.

The recall includes 19,000 of several of the model years 2012 of the F, XF, and M in a variety of colors. The snowmobiles were sold at arctic dealers nationwide between May 2011 and December 2011 for a cost of around $10,500 and $14,500.

California Air Resources Board approves new Clean Vehicle Rules through 2025

(Best Syndication News) - The California Air Resource Board unanimously approved a new clean car and light truck rules through 2025. California has been working on the Advanced Clean Cars program for the past three years.

The goal is to cut smog and greenhouse gases. The government agency said that these new rules would help save drivers money on fuel and would create jobs.

KYMCO Utility Task Vehicle Recall for Repair announced due to Fire Danger

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the voluntary recall of around 1,876 of KYMCO’s 2009 through 2012 utility task vehicles (UTVs). The recall was initiated because of the possibility that the exposed exhaust could catch the vehicle on fire. A free repair is being offered by the KYMCO USA dealers to address this concern.

KYMCO USA received three reports of the utility vehicles being damaged from fire. No injury reports have been received in regards to this recall.

The recalled vehicles were sold nationwide at KYMCO dealers between June 2008 and October 2011 for around $7,600 and $10,100.

The 2013 Honda Fit EV arrives in Torrance

The automaker presented Mayor Frank Scotto a key to the vehicle as the city will be taking part in the Honda Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program. The city of Torrance has been working with Honda over the last year to help plan for recharging stations in the city. The city government officials will also be studying the use of electric vehicles for their own fleet.

Honda first introduced electric vehicles 15 years ago, explained Steve Center, the vice president of the Environmental Development Office at American Honda. Center said that working the City of Torrance would help them implement electric vehicles to more customers.
