Basic And Advanced Tennis Strategies For A Competitive Player

The first rule of tennis strategy is not to beat yourself. That means that your first goal when playing tennis is to keep the ball in play.

But just pushing the ball over won't do it if you are playing against quality players. Your shots need to be deep, with good pace to prevent your opponent from setting up for the shot and they need to be directed into open court to keep your opponent on the move.

So your first opponent in tennis is actually… tennis. You are dealing with tennis challenges - judging the ball flight, moving to the ball, timing the shots and trying to hit that big square over that 1m high net.

That's tennis and its demands.

Only when you are quite comfortable and consistent in not losing to yourself - or the tennis game - only then can you start playing against your opponent.

Big guns, pipes, or massive biceps, it really does not matter what you call them; the desire for big or bigger biceps probably started more young men on the bodybuilding road than anything else.

Trouble is you rarely see anyone, these days with truly impressive biceps.

Yet I don’t think that a month goes by, that somewhere in the world, in some magazine, there is not an article on how to build bigger biceps.

So what can the culprit be, it certainly should not be lack of information, and contrary to popular belief, just about everyone can increase the size of their biceps if they work at it correctly.

Bonds Famous Swing

(Best Syndication) The shot heard around the world last night was Barry Bonds breaking Hank Aaron’s record set back in 1974 to become the new homerun king. In spite of all the accusations and allegations Bonds made history Tuesday night in San Francisco against the Nationals.

In the fifth inning facing a 3-2 pitch from Washington's Mike Bacsik he slammed the ball 435 feet over the right-center field fence. After hitting his 756th home run he was mobbed at home plate by his teammates.

Then the crowd at AT&T stood to their feet and cheered while Bonds was being congratulated by his wife, mother and kids. He then took a bow to the standing ovation and saluted the hometown crowd for their loyalty.

Treadmills with TVs Hit the Prime Time

Treadmills with TVs Hit the Prime Time

Motus M995TL Treadmill with Integrated 15" LCD TV Entertainment

Is there anyone that would disagree with the fact that exercising on a treadmill is boring? No matter how hard your push yourself, you never get anywhere. It is not like exercising outdoors where you have a constant change of scenery.

That is why in health clubs you’ll find a row of televisions in front of a row of treadmills. And you’ll notice most people are tuned into the TVs. This distraction helps to pass the time, and time is important when you exercise. Generally, the longer you exercise the more calories you burn.

Therefore, it made sense for a fitness equipment company like NordicTrack to design treadmills with built-in televisions. What made it possible is flat-screen technology and the decreasing costs. Small flat-screen TVs fit perfectly in a treadmill console, and that is an ideal location. Consider where your vision is normally directed when you are on a treadmill – the console.
