(Best Syndication News) - A voluntary recall was announced for Baby Jogger City Versa strollers because they could fail to lock correctly causing the frame to collapse when being used. Baby Jogger will be offering a free replacement frame to remedy this problem. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission along with Health Canada made the recall announcement today.
The recall was publicized after the manufacturer received six reports of the stroller frame not locking correctly while being used. The reports did not involve any personal injuries.
The recall involves around 8,400 strollers in the United States and about 2,200 strollers in Canada. The recalled City Versa baby strollers were sold at buybuy Baby and other juvenile retail stores across North America. The strollers were also sold on buybuybaby.com, albeebaby.com, diapers.com, and other online stores. The recalled strollers were sold between July 2012 and October 2012 at a retail price around $450.
