Twitter is it going to be Oprah's new Favorite Thing?

[Best Syndication News] Oprah announced that she will begin using Twitter tomorrow. Other celebrities are using the twitter to promote themselves or tell everything about themselves on a moment by moment basis.

If you haven't had enough of the TV shows promoting Twitter to death you might wander who is behind Twitter and why are shows like NBC's Today Show continually promoting the website.

It seems as if it is a fad or for those that have a short attention span. It just seems like a telephone or a text message might work just as well, but at least it's private.

Oprah is going to be starting her twitter at http://twitter.com/oprah and there is already followers of her even though she hasn't posted anything.

[Best Syndication News] Suze Orman was on hand to answer question and suggest how to survive and maybe even thrive during this economic crisis. Orman has been a regular guest on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show.’ While at times she is quite to the point and sometime harsh with her advice, she has some good information on the Oprah show today.

Oprah explains the harsh economic times we live in currently. So far there have been 4.4 million jobs have been lost to this recession. There are 10,000 home foreclosures every day. Shelters are full and this is causing tent cities to pop up in communities.

Oprah plays phone messages of people that are scared because of their financial problems. It is a scary time we live in. But Orman said that she is offering a 5 Step plan to show us how to rise above the fear. Being prepared has been her motto.

[Best Syndication News] ‘The Oprah Winfrey’ show had an interesting show with Dr. Oz and Michael J. Fox discussing Parkinson’s disease. Fox has been living with Parkinson’s disease and has shown on the show today that even though he is suffering from this nervous system disease he doesn’t stop living his life. He has had Parkinson’s for the past 18 years.

Fox’s wife Tracy Pollen has been his rock he said to Dr. Oz. Fox meant that as a compliment. They seemed to really love each other and have been married for 20 years.

Dr. Oz asked Pollen how their relationship has changed since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s. She said that when they were first married he was working all the time, which has changed and he now has more time with her. The children said that he is shaky. Pollen said that their children are extremely empathetic. Fox said that sometimes it can be difficult if he has to do something with them at school. Fox seemed to value his time with his children.

[Best Syndication News] Dr. Oz was on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ to discuss ways that you can live past one hundred with vitality. He coined it as ‘exreme life extension’ when you push past the 100 year mark with ease and live with health and not disease. In the audience they have Joe who Dr. Oz believes could very well live to be 150 years old.

They showed how Joe who is 5’9” and weighs 130 pounds is so healthy. He eats around 1950 calories each day. They showed how he eats a huge bowl of fruit and some walnuts for breakfast. He eats the peel of the apple, but not the whole apple. He weighs and measures his foods. He eats a huge bowl of salad that would look like it would feed a whole family. He weighed 175 pounds before he began 7 years ago. Doctors have told him that at age 51 he has the body of a 20 year old athlete. He eats about 80 percent of his diet with raw fruits and vegetables.

[Best Syndication News] Suze Orman was on The Oprah Winfrey show today to answer people’s questions if they can afford it? Oprah reminded the viewers and audience that Orman does not sugar coat things. Orman will hand down verdicts on whether or not they can afford it.

Husband’s Expensive Hobby – Can they Afford it?

The wife explains that her husband is a Redskin fanatic. She thinks he has spent around $25,000 on his hobby. She thinks that they should be paying off her student loan. She said that UPS or Fedex is at their house almost every day. They have $130,000 in student loans to pay off.

Suze Orman asked the audience to vote what they thought. There was a whopping 95% of the audience that thought they couldn’t afford it. They make about $9,000 a month income. They only have a $5,000 emergency fund. They have around $1,300 a month extra money every month after their living expenses. Orman denied his hobby spending because they have a student loan to pay off and doesn’t have a large enough emergency fund. In addition she said that their life insurance is under insured. They have a $350,000 and a $200,000 life insurance policy but she said that is not enough money to cover in the event one of them loses their life. Orman said that you should plan for the worst and hope for the best.
