Billy Mays Dead at 50

[Best Syndication News] Television pitchman, Billy Mays, 50, died unexpectedly on Sunday after he thought he bumped his head on a commercial airline flight that landed on Saturday. The next morning his was found dead. Preliminary autopsy reports are suggesting that he died of a pulmonary embolism.

Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Vernard Adams announced the findings of the autopsy so far during a televised press conference today. While the cause of death appears to have been caused by a pulmonary embolism they will have to wait several weeks for any toxicology and tissue tests that will conclude a final determination of the Billy May's cause of death. They did not find any head trauma internal or external.

Farrah Fawcett Dead at 62

[Best Syndication News] Actress, Farrah Fawcett, died at 9:28 a.m. Pacific time at the St. John’s Heath Center in Santa Monica, California. Fawcett was first diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, and lost the battle after the cancer returned in February of 2007.

People Magazine reported that Ryan O'Neal, friend Alana Stewart, friend and hairdresser Mela Murphy and her doctor Lawrence Piro were present while she passed away. Her son, Redmond was not able to visit but talked with her over the phone, said a Los Angeles NBC News report.

Fawcett made her claim to fame starring in the 1970's “Charlies Angels” TV show and was considered as on of the beauties of the day with her blonde feathered hairstyle becoming her trademark. Her hairstyle set a trend that many women copied. She became a pin up girl on posters back in the 70's. She still had the body at 50 and she posed in Playboy magazine in 1995 and in 1997.

Ed McMahon Dies at Age 86 from Pneumonia and other Illness

[Best Syndication News] Ed McMahon was Johnny Carson's announcer sidekick on NBC's “The Tonight Show” for 30 years. McMahon died early today, June 23rd, at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The newswire said that McMahon was suffering from pneumonia in addition other illness. His spokesman, Howard Bragman told the press that he passed away early in the morning with his wife and loved ones by his side. Bragman did not confirm if the rumors of McMahon having been diagnosed with bone cancer was true or not.

McMahon's claim to fame is his opening for “The Tonight Show” when he would say “Here's Johnny!” He worked on the show from 1962 through 1992. He also was a host for the popular talent show “Star Search.” He also became the spokesperson for American Family Publishing sweepstakes prize and was on several commercials for the company. He also was a co-host on Muscular Dystrophy Association annual fundraiser.

(Best Syndication News) Radio commentator and broadcaster Paul Harvey died on Saturday February 28th 2009 at the age of 90. The cause of death is still unknown, but he was taken to a Phoenix Arizona hospital where he passed away surrounded by family and friends.

Credited with coining various catch-phrases including "skyjacker", "Reaganomics", and "guesstimate, Harvey told people he was raised in radio newsrooms. The conservative commentator was born September 4, 1918, just two years before the age of commercial radio.

(Best Syndication News) Phelan / Pinon Hills CA - Good friend and long time local resident, Mike Adams of Pinon Hills, died this week. Nancy Cosgrove gave Michael Palecki a phone call and Palecki called me delivering the bad news on Saturday. Evidently Mike Adams slipped on some ice and hit his head.

I met Mike at the Pinon Hills MAC meetings and found out we were very close neighbors at a Zone L Water Board meeting. Mike was both a MAC member and a Zone L water board member. In February he was elected to the Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District (CSD).
