Orange Power Welly - Orange

(Best Syndication News) - Fashion has met technology with a UK based mobile phone company. Orange worked together with a renewable energy company called GotWind and came up with a unique way to charge your mobile phone by using the heat in your feet to create electricity. This creative green energy idea is being showcased at the Glastonbury Festival 2010 with the Orange Power Wellies prototypes being onsite for people to check out.

The reality is that you have to walk around to generate electricity. Orange said that it would take about twelve hours of walking around at the Glastonbury Festival to charge your mobile battery for about one hour of use. They suggest if you need more battery time, then dance it up because they say that the hotter your feet get, the more electricity you make.
Orange is having a contest focused around their Orange Power Wellies. You can check it out on their blog at http://glastonbury.orange.co.uk/.
