Televangelist, Pat Robertson, predicts that tsunami and terrible storms
are coming to the United States this year. He has mentioned these on
multiple occasions over the past two weeks on “The 700 Club” television
show. He said the warnings came to him from God in a revelation in
January while on his personal prayer retreat.
On one show Robertson said, “If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the
coasts of America will be lashed by storms.”
Yesterday Robertson said more about the storms, “There well may be
something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest.”
Pat Robertson has been very controversial and outspoken about politics.
Robertson said the following about Hugo Chavez, “I don’t know about this
doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we’re trying to assassinate
him, I think we really ought to go ahead and do it. It’s a whole lot
cheaper than starting a war, and I don’t think any oil shipments will
stop.”

Later after the press had a heyday with the above comment he did respond
on his website with clarification and concluded with the following
statement. “There are many who disagree with my comments, and I respect
their opinions. There are others who think that stopping a dictator is
the appropriate course of action. In any event, the incredible publicity
surrounding my remarks has focused our government’s attention on a
growing problem which has been largely ignored.”
Robertson had apologized to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon for
claiming his stroke he suffered from recently was divine retribution for
withdrawing from the Gaza Strip.
