Taylor Hicks signs a Record Contract

This season’s American Idol, Taylor Hicks, recently signed a recording
contract with 19 Recordings Limited and Arista Records. The record deal
is supposed to be a multi-million dollar contract.
Taylor Hicks, 29, is an Alabama native. According to a press release,
his debut album will not be released until later this year. There is a
single “Do I Make You Proud” being released on June 13th. He
sang this song on the last two shows on “American Idol.” He will also
record the Doobie Brothers classic "Takin' It to the Streets" for the
single’s flipside release.
Hicks will be touring this summer along with the runner up Katharine
McPhee and the other top 10 finalists from this year’s “American Idol”
show. This 60 date tour will start on July 5th.
Kelly Clarkson was the first winner of “American Idol.” She has gone on
to win two Grammy awards and has had a number of chart topping hits.
Currently she is working on her next album called “Addicted” which is
expected to be released in the later part of this year.
