Jessica Simpson released her new video for her single and CD with the
same name, “A Public Affair”. It appears to poke fun at celebrity and
takes place in a roller-skating ring. The video shows her taking quite
a few “spills” according to ITV, a news agency from the UK. Jessica has
admitted that she is not the most graceful skater.
She includes her friends Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Christina
Applegate and Christiana Milian in her video. The Post Chronicle says
that the video pokes fun at “fellow actress Jolie and her endless quest
for fame”. Simpson and her friends are dancing to a roller disco song
while “dreaming of their own desire for international recognition during
a ride in a limo.”
Christina Applegate asked, "Could we be any more famous?" Then Simpson
pops out with, "I wanna be so famous that every time I fall in love
Oprah does a special about it!" Apparently this was done tongue in
cheek.
But it doesn’t stop there. Applegate says “I want to be so famous that
I have to have my babies in Africa." Simpson appeared on MTV’s TRL show
to promote her new video. The Daily Dish reports that she said “The
star had much better luck when she showed the audience the best ways to
pose for the paparazzi and shared her favorite video clips, which
included Britney Spears' "I'm a Slave for U."
This story would not be complete without some Nick Lechey news. The
Daily Ledger reports that Nick and his new flame, Vanessa Minnillo, are
set to “roll out their new romance 'officially' on July 25, by walking
the red carpet at a Hugo Boss event together.”
The Ledger also reports Jessica feels betrayed by the MTV host. “There
is even a scene in Jessica's new video where it appears she mocks
Vanessa as she gets into a catfight with a brunette that some believe is
meant to look like Minnillo.”
