The nineteen year-old Lindsay Lohan will be celebrating her 20th
birthday next month, and she is more concerned about her career right
now than romance. Lohan told Harper’s Bazaar “I need to focus on my
career and getting my life in order."
She does not want to marry young like her mother. “My mom married
young, but it was a different time," she said. “I've heard that guys
are intimidated by me even though I'm not an intimidating person."
One thing for sure, Lindsay has become a first rate star, with hits like
“Mean Girls”, "Freaky Friday" and "Herbie: Fully Loaded." In fact, now
she only wants to work with well known directors. The Miami Herald
reported that she has walked away from her new movie, Bill. Why?
According to the Herald, “The film's first-time directors aren't
well-known enough.”
Lohan will be sticking with “big-name directors” for now. Her next
movie will be A Prairie Home Companion, directed by Robert Altman and
starring Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin and Kevin Kline.
The actress appears to be graduating form kids movies and moving towards
more grown-up roles. "I don't need to do any more kid movies," she
says. "The word `kid' makes you feel like a child. Someone I dated
called me `kid' all the time. I hated that." She will also be staring in
an upcoming movie called "Chapter 27". This is a film about Mark David
Chapman.
Lindsay has become a party girl lately (AP). AP reports that she recently
turned up at a posh jewelry company party. Liv Tyler, Scarlett
Johansson, and Salma Hayek were also at the Cartier bash in New York.
Since her “falling out” with Paris Hilton, Kate Moss has always been
with her in the States. "People like to think that just because I'm
young and like to enjoy my life, I'm some crazy party girl," she says.
"I hate the term `party girl' — I hate it.” Lohan added "I'm in this
career for the longevity of it, not just for doing everything too fast
and then running out of steam."
