Was Ashley Simpson Offered $4 Million to Pose Naked?  Star Jones Reynolds and Barbara Walters – Rosie Adds Coy Comments

Playboy isn’t talking but it has been reported that they have offered Ashley Simpson $4 million to pose for them.  Us magazine reported that Ashley’s publicist said she was offered money to show her “lady parts” in the legendary magazine. The publicist said she turned it down. The Playboy Magazine representative said “we don’t make 4 million dollar offers to anyone.”

Things are heating up between Star Jones Reynolds and Barbara Walters, according to People Magazine.  People reports that Walters said she felt “betrayed” by Reynolds’s comments to the magazine.  Previously, Reynolds had said that she felt like she was “fired” from the ABC morning show, The View.

Today, Reynolds told the New York Daily News (NYDN), "For Barbara to say she felt betrayed is the height of hypocrisy."  Star told People “I thought the audience deserved to have their Star tell them what the deal is. To now be accused of betrayal by someone I looked at as a mentor, when I was finally speaking up for myself instead of letting the executives and tabloids speak for me, is disheartening."

Walters and Reynolds have not spoken to each other since Tuesday’s show.  People magazine calls the departure “dramatic” and according to the NYDN, the call to say Reynolds should not return for Wednesday's episode went from the network directly to her agent.

Star says “If anyone should feel betrayed, it should be me."  Star had announced Tuesday that she would be leaving the show in July, but ABC asked her not to come back at all.  When the show came back on the air Wednesday, Walkers said "We didn't expect her to make this statement yesterday. She gave us no warning."

Us magazine says Star’s replacement, Rosie O’Donnell, is not talking. When asked about the feud by bloggers at Jossip, Rosie said “I’m not at liberty to discuss it,” with an exaggerated wink and nod. “Well you know how much I like her,” Rosie said coyly when Jossip asked if she’s upset she won’t be cohosting with Jones. “(But) she thinks she’s Beyoncé.”

The magazine calls Star Jones dishonorably discharged from The View.  One Life to Live actress, Renee Elise Goldsberry replaced Star temporarily on the View. Renee Elise is not a real lawyer like Star, but plays one on TV.

According to Bill Carter of the New York Times, ABC executives and Walters thought a deal had been worked out for Jones to leave.  The decision had been made by ABC "months ago," Walters said on the air.  Star’s on-air statement on Tuesday should have been made two days later.  The show had planned to send Jones off with a party and farewell show on July 13th
