Last night Zuleyka Rivera from Puerto Rico was chosen Miss Universe in front of a live audience which included co-owner of the pageant, Donald Trump.  Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell and actor/singer Carlos Ponce (7th Heaven), hosted the live telecast of the Miss Universe 2006 beauty pageant from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. 

The delegates from foreign countries competed in three categories; swimsuit, evening gown and interview. During these competitions the "Top Five" finalists were selected before the crowning.

Colin Farrell obtained a temporary restraining order against a woman that approached him at the taping of the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Thursday.  The order was issued Friday against Dessarae Bradford, 31, in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica. 

The documents filed allege that Bradford “accosted me during the taping of a network television show on July 20, 2006. I am concerned that her harassing behavior has escalated and may pose an immediate threat to my well-being and the well-being of my family," according to TMZ.  Complete Article

Dessarae Bradford approached Colin Farrell at the taping of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno at the NBC Studios in Burbank.  She reportedly approached the stage when Colin Farrell was on the show to promote his new film “Miami Vice.”

Bradford left a copy of a her self published book called, “Colin Farrell: A Dark, Twisted Puppy.”  As the security guards were removing her off the stage she shouted “I’ll see you in court!”

Baby Suri might actually exist after all.  Leah Remini who stars in “The King of Queens” has seen Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes 3 month old baby.

Charges have been dropped against Marshall Bruce Mathers (aka Eminem) after an alleged altercation in the restroom at the Cheetah Strip Club in Detroit.  The alleged victim, 48 year old Miad J, claims Mathers punched him in the face four or five times at about 1:15 AM Thursday.    

The Detroit police had been searching for Eminem and issued a press release that stating that he was at the strip club that night, according to Playfuls.com.  The Strip Club is located on the famed “8 mile” road that the singer made famous with his autobiographical movie in 2002.  Complete Article

Avril Lavigne, 21, who is a Canadian singer and pop star, married lead singer of the band Sum41, Derycky Whibley, 26, in an outdoor, nondenominational wedding ceremony at a private estate in Montecito, California.  Montecito is a city on the California coast and is locate approximately 90 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

People Magazine reported that approximately 110 guest attended the wedding.  Lavigne went traditional.  As the “Wedding March” song by Mendelssohn played in the background, she was in a Vera Wang gown, holding a bouquet of white roses while being escorted and given away by her father, John. Brad Pitt traveled to New Orleans to get an update on the new project he hopes will help the environment by saving energy.  The Global Green USA organization has been working with the actor on an architectural project.  Although the new designs do not reflect the historic architecture of the city, Pitt believes it is time to look towards the future.

Angelina Jolie is going to take a role that originally was agreed upon by Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston would go to Jennifer.  The movie, “A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl” will be produced by Pitt’s Plan B production company and directed by Michael Winterbottom.

The star, Johnny Depp, is so committed to the project that he plans on keeping the gold teeth used for his character, Captain Jack Sparrow, until the filming of the next installment is over.    He told MTV News “Only until we're done filming number three. Rumors are swirling as to why Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ baby Suri has been hidden from even their closest friends.  Us Magazine reported that Cruise and Holmes have yet to show Suri off to fellow Scientologists John Travolta, Kelly Preston or Lisa Marie Presley.

Tennyson Spencer Crowe was born on Friday July 7th to Actor Russell Crowe and his wife Danielle Spencer.  The newborn weighed in at about 8 pounds.  The couple has an older son, Charlie Spencer Crowe, aged 2. Crowe’s manager, Grant Vandenberg, said “Mother, father and baby are doing extremely well."

On the Tonight Show Crow shared with Jay Leno how he told older brother Charlie about the birth.  “He knows where the baby is in Mommy’s tummy and knows that he was a baby once and there’s another baby coming along.  ‘Bubba, what do you want to call your brother?’ and his first option was Pumpkinhead. But then the next day, he revised it and he changed it to Stinky.”

Orlando Bloom will not be turning 30 until January 13^th of next year, but it seems like that is the hot topic concerning this actor.  Well, that and his relationship with Kate Bosworth.  According to People magazine, that relationship is going well.

He told the magazine, “It's going to be great. I'm not a big partier. I like to dance and whatever, but I'm not one of those guys who throws lavish parties for the sake of it. It's not my thing. But I will probably get a few friends together in a way that's hopefully private and fun.”

Various news agencies suggest that Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston are getting closer to tying the “knot”.  According to US magazine, Jennifer told a friend ““We’re getting married” just before they left for a week vacation to Mexico.  The couple spent some time at the Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis’ Puerto Vallarta property.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline may have wanted to share their romance with the world in their Chaotic reality show covering their romance, but the second season of Chaotic does not look like it will happen.  It would be unlikely that the TV networks would renew a second season as the viewer ratings for the first season was lacking considerably.

Sheryl Crow says she would have loved for former fiancé, Lance Armstrong, to step in and be there with her, but when it comes down to it, she depended on her family for emotional support.  She called the breakup “devastating” for both of them, and she thinks of Lance everyday, and she thinks “about his kids every day."

In a Good Morning America interview with Diane Sawyer, Crow said she broke-up with Lance on February 4^th and on the 20^th doctors found calcification in both breast using a routine mammogram. Crow, 44, told Sawyer that "I thought: 'Now, this is just one crummy joke.  It was like, 'Wait a minute, how can this be? No, you've got the wrong person.' You know. … But yeah, that's the way it happened, you know."

Star Jones Reynolds continues to vent her bad news of being let go from the daytime television show, “The View.”  She went on CNN’s “Larry King Live” to further explain her case.

Barbara Walters who is also the creator and executive producer and she is also the lead host on the show.  According to a report from Reuters, Barbara Walters has said that Star Jones Reynolds gave the show negative publicity with the wedding extravaganza that tabloids have called her “Bridezilla” two years ago.  Viewers did not like that Star Jones Reynolds was getting a free wedding and flaunting it.

If you are going out to Las Vegas to vacation any time soon, you will probably want to catch one of the new shows in town.  The Canadian acrobatic troupe, Cirque du Soleil, will open a new show this Friday, called “Love.”  This show will feature 130 different songs of The Beatles original recordings along with the 60 international Cirque du Soleil artists.

Britney Spears has changed her hair color and is now appearing naked on the cover of Harpers Bazaar magazine.  This is after Spears was slammed for her scruffy appearance on the NBC Dateline show on June 15^th.  According to the New York Post, her fans called her hair a “rats nest”.

Us Magazine says she felt horrible about the criticism.  “She felt terrible,” says a source. “She didn’t understand her image problem until the negative feedback about Dateline. Star Jones Reynolds, 44, got the boot earlier than expected from the popular daytime show called “The View.”  Barbara Walters announced this Wednesday saying “It is becoming uncomfortable for us to pretend that everything is the same at this table.  Therefore, regrettably, Star will no longer be on this program."

This Sunday, Actress, Nicole Kidman, and country-music singer, Keith Urban, said ‘I Do’ as they get married in a traditional Catholic ceremony in a chapel in Sydney, Australia.  There was already much anticipation for the couple pending wedding date, which now the happy couple have finally tied the knot.
