President Bush Urges End to Violence - Muslim Cartoon brings Worldwide Riots
According to many religious leaders, drawing a picture of the prophet Mohammad is against Islamic law. Others have claimed it is not. Back in December, Denis Schulz wrote in a Best Syndication column that one of Denmark’s largest newspapers, Jyllands Posten, asked 40 cartoonists to submit a likeness of Mohammed. Only 12 of them responded. According to Schulz, any image of the prophet is “blasphemous”. Riots have spread throughout the world pitting the West against the Muslim world. Abigail R. Esman wrote in the World Defense Review that this proves once again that the “pen can be as mighty as the sword”. Danish products have been boycotted and Britain’s The Independent reports “At the Omari mosque in Gaza City, 9,000 worshippers were told those behind the cartoons should have their heads cut off." In defense of freedom of the press other papers and internet sites have chosen to republish the cartoon. This has led to even more violence, according to Esman. Syrians have torched the Danish and Norwegian embassies. There have been bomb threats against the Jyllands Postnen newspaper. President Bush Urges End to Violence - Muslim Cartoon brings Worldwide Riots The Protocols of the Elders of Hollyweird
(Written, directed, produced, authorized, authenticated, evaluated, comprised, inspected and denied by maxflackreport) Less than a week after the election of George W. Bush in 2000 AD, the Elders of Hollyweird met at an undisclosed location to discuss what they considered to be a political catastrophe. They had met before—when Ronnie Reagan was elected and when the notorious Mr. Milhous had seized the Presidency in 1968. Those had been stirring times—calling for extreme measures—but now the cause of humanity was in jeopardy as never before. Capitalism was running amok; the religious right was threatening to tear down the wall between Jerry Falwell and the people’s government; the neocons were acting so much like liberals that Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean were looking and sounding more like George Wallace standing in the door of the schoolhouse than FDR; and the Iraq War was stripping them of what little was left of their progressive pretensions. Something had to be done. The Protocols of the Elders of HollyweirdThe Bush Administration Realizes the War in Iraq will not Prevent Another Attack Against the US
Osama bin Laden threatens new attacks against the US but is also willing to negotiate, according to audiotape aired on Al-Jazeera today. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said "We do not negotiate with terrorists." McClellan went on to say that Bin Laden "was clearly on the run." The White House has not said whether the voice on the tape is Osama Bin Laden, but Associated Press is reporting that the CIA has determined that the voice was that of that of the fugitive terrorist. The administration is evaluating whether to increase the national threat level. Will the war in Iraq prevent a further attack against the US? Vice President Dick Cheney in a CNBC interview on Kudlow and Company admits it may not. He said that this tape is a reminder that a “serious threat“ to the United States remained. St Petersburg, FL--Did you
recently post a message to a friend's blog denouncing government
policies--and that could conceivably annoy the President or the
Governor--using an alias or username?
An estimated 400,000 Americans do something like
this every day, often because websites recommend an alias or
username. But under a new measure, they've not only possibly
committed a Federal Crime, but may have to register as felony
sex offenders because it would be a crime under a Violence
Against Women clause, say opponents of the measure.
"This is another example of extremists of the
right and left joining forces to shut the rest of us up through
bizarre stealth legislation," said Libertarian Party leader
Michael Gilson-De Lemos at a meeting of activists in St
Petersburg, Florida. The meeting and follow-up web brainstorm,
chaired by the Libertarians and which included Libertarian,
Independent, Republican and Democratic activists, convened
recently to discuss community issues. "If Benjamin Franklin, who
signed many of his political opinions anonymously, had used the
internet today, he would be a sex offender under this strange
proposal," he said.

The California Governor is Out of Control Raising the Minimum Wage
The minimum wage law should be abolished. Raising the minimum wage always hurts poor people and those on a fixed income the most. Wealthy and minimum class citizens are not affected by a raise in the minimum wage. The minimum wage raises the cost of everything, even though few people receive it. It hurts small businesses more than big businesses. Many of the smaller restaurants and retail stores pay their employees minimum wage, while the larger unionized stores pay their employees more. Labor unions also hurt poor people and people on fixed incomes. These unions also hurt the US economy and help put Americans out of work. The unions make American products less competitive in the world market, and I believe is the primary factor for Americans losing manufacturing jobs to overseas competitors. The California Governor is Out of Control Raising the Minimum Wage Something is Rotten in Denmark (Part two) - To Draw or Not to Draw
Opie Taylor drew a picture of George Washington for his 5th grade art class. It didn’t look much like the first George W or any known entity living or dead. Opie copied the presidential phiz from a one-dollar bill five minutes before the assignment was due. Miss Wormwood was not fooled and Opie got an F. Sheriff Andy Taylor was not pleased. “That doesn’t look much like George Washington, Opie,” he said. “It looks like Quick Draw McGraw. And why did you draw the mouth so large?” “Because George Washington had wood teeth,” explained Opie. Andy was not pleased but he couldn’t afford to send Opie to an all-night art school and seeing as neither Miss Wormwood nor the original George W declared a fatwa or sent out hit squads the incident faded quickly from the national consciousness. That would not have been the case if Opie had been living in Denmark and had drawn a picture of Mohammed—he would be hiding out with Salmon Rushdie. They take art seriously along the Skagerrak—especially the new wave critics who have only recently emerged from the Black Lagoon. Something is Rotten in Denmark (Part two) - To Draw or Not to Draw Zogby and affirmative action for dhimmis
Islam's abysmal treatment of minorities continues. Can anything stop the rapes and killings of Christians in the Middle East and Indonesia? Is there no alternative to conversion, slavery, or death? Would an affirmative action program work? Joseph Zogby was an aide to Assistant Secretary of State Martin Indyk during the Clinton administration. He was part of Slick Willie’s most disastrous outreach program—bringing in friends of the PLO and Hamas to get their insights into the Middle East. Zogby had frequently condemned his own country for its “genocidal treatment of Native Americans” and for “the willful ineffectuality of the Americans” in dealing with Israel. Zogby and affirmative action for dhimmis Does Christian support for the GOP erode Christian influence over the culture?
Republican election candidates have won positions of political power due largely to almost monolithic support from Christian voters. The GOP has not had to work hard to attract these voters. Its only viable political opposition, the Democrat Party, has embraced causes that defy almost every moral tradition that once defined Western Civilization. Consequently, Republican candidates only have to question such phrases as abortion on demand, same sex marriage, and social liberalism to appeal to the sizable Christian voting block. A strange political contradictions has emerged during the ascendancy of the GOP and its socially conservative Christian supporters; while those who stand to defend America's moral traditions have gained institutional political power, individual immoral behavior has become acceptable on a social level. Does Christian support for the GOP erode Christian influence over the culture? The Book of Jack Daniels
From The Book of Daniel: “In the third year of the reign of Jehoi’akim king of Judah came Nebuchadnez’zar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem and besieged it. And the Lord gave Jehoi’akim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god: and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.” Jehoi’kim? Nebuchadnez’zar? Shinar? Are they sure? Once upon a war a long time ago a friend listened quietly while two Japanese gentlemen discussed politics in a language he thought might be Martian. They could have been quoting from The Book of Daniel as far as he could tell. When they had finished he shook his head in agreement. “I’ve always said that,” he said. The Book of Jack Daniels Whether a tiny fascist or benevolent dictator, South America needs something Evo Morales
When I was about 7 or 8, I’d have these sprawling, epic fantasies of being a worshipped leader of a nation. It was never the U.S., though. It would always be some undefined nation of non-English speakers. I’d be at the podium in front of millions of my admirers, shouting gibberish and accepting adulation from the awestruck populace. Looking back, it seems kind of weird, but one must admit that being a 7-year-old, beloved fascist dictator must be a real hoot. I never truly built on my fascist fantasies and really am not much of an ideologue of any type at this point. Which is likely why the trend of South American nations veering sharply to the left hasn’t filled me with any good, old-fashioned American hatred and fear. When Jed Clampett heard that Arnold Ziffle needed a life-saving operation he wrote out a check for $100; when Elvernie Bradshaw needed a breast reduction he chipped in ten bucks even though the very idea had him shaking his head; and when floodwaters threatened the folks on Coonskin Creek, Jed hustled down there, filled hundreds—if not thousands—of sand bags and got wet to the bone. But it one measures Jed by the standards set by Saudi Barbaria’s Royal Family for mastering the art of Noblesse Oblige Jed rates somewhere between skinflint and piker. There was Walt Kelly and Bill Watterson and not much else. Who can forget the Yokums and Marrying Sam and Senator Jack S. Fogbound? And Daisy Mae Scraggs did more for ragged short shorts than Marilyn Monroe did for hot air vents. Capp’s hillbillies were so rude and ignorant they made The Three Stooges seem almost as erudite as Noam Chomsky, Ward Churchill and Frank Rich, and, of course, better plumbers. Yet no hillbillies, from Granny Clampett to Grandpa McCoy, ever pursued Al Capp through the streets with a hickory switch. Capp portrayed Joan Baez as Joannie the Phoney and his campus S.W.I.N.E. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - Iran's Leader can't Make up His Mind
Iran’s little corporal just can’t make up his mind. One day, he wants to wipe Israel off the face of the map; the next, he wants to send the Israelis to the Arctic Circle to manage reindeer herds. Then he changes his mind again. No, the entire country, lock-stock-and-barrel, should be moved to Europe. He hasn’t designated any particular area in Eurabia—it’s nice at all times of the year and with an increasing Muslim population, pogroms may soon be back in style. How about Buchenwald or Dachau? The grandsons and granddaughters of Ilse Koch are unemployed and it would give them something to do. They could go back to making lampshades. Even in dreary Sachsenhausen the Israelis would be safe from suicide bombers and they could spend their spare time listening to Barbara Streisand sing Second-hand Rose and opening C.A.I.R. packages hand-addressed by Ibrahim Hoopercrit and Nihad Awad who surpass even Herr Hitler in their compassion for International Jewry. Isn’t that little rat-bag precious? Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - Iran's Leader can't Make up His Mind The American People are the Enemy in the War in Iraq
A propaganda operation at the hands of the Bush Administration and its supporters is underway as I write this. The intention is to manufacture consent in the continuance of a great national purpose*. To do this, the propaganda must manipulate, confuse and ultimately assist in the defeat of the great enemy. The enemy is all around you. It looks like you. It IS you. That's right, the American people are the enemy. The propaganda is aimed at you and it is about you. This propaganda effort is about smearing the opinion of the majority of Americans as mere politics and "defeatism". The Drudge Report reports that, according to a "top GOP operative", "the Republican National Committee will provide state parties with a web video prior to release [Friday, December 9] that shows a white flag waving over images of Democrat leaders making anti-war remarks." It’s hard to believe this is the first time the Republicans have heard of such an idea. The American People are the Enemy in the War in Iraq President Bush's utopianism is a betrayal of Biblical doctrine
Christianity is not, nor can it be, utopian. This is due simply to the fact that Christianity is a belief that humans, both as individuals and a species, are separated from God through a sinful nature. According to holy writ the wages of sin is death and, in their mortal state, humans require salvation from eternal judgment through blood sacrifice. That blood sacrifice was paid once and for all by Jesus' death on the cross. Not only was the mission of Christ offered by God as a remedy from the blight of human nature, but the entire Bible is a record of failure brought by human works. This flawed record begins in Eden. It was amplified in the flood of Noah and continued into Babel. It followed Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as they attempted to put their stamp on God's plan for establishing his own chosen race. President Bush's utopianism is a betrayal of Biblical doctrine Australian Riots - Cronulla Beach Boys Rumble in Sydney!

Among the names the press did not use to describe the rioters at Cronulla Beach were rebels, freedom fighters, insurgents, members of a ruthlessly exploited sub-culture. And no one referred to them as working stiffs Ply as Aussie beach bum with a few tankards of ale, point him in the direction of some poor wretch who looks like he might be from the Middle East, whisper ‘Bali’ in his hear, and then get out of the way. It’s a recipe for a riot—a day of sheer nastiness. Nathan Bedford Forrest would have been ashamed of these fellows. The Ku Klux Klan had class; they worked in the dread of night their terrors to perform. There was no excuse for what the Aussie beach bums did—Sydney, Australia, will never be the same. Australian Riots - Cronulla Beach Boys Rumble in Sydney! If Abortion is Murder then Should the Women be Executed
For decades pro-life advocates have said that abortion is the equivalent of murder. They did not call it manslaughter or an infraction. They called it murder, a felony. In fact murder is the most egregious felony there is and is punishable by death in many states. Now it looks like the Pro-life crowd is getting their way and the pro-choice crowd will lose their right to abortion (or to kill their baby according to the Pro-lifers). What does this mean? What if the Supreme Court rules that human life begins at conception? Well first off the abortion clinics will close down. I am sure many pro-lifers will welcome that. That will not be the end of abortions though. The abortion pill RU-486 will likely be used as an alternative to surgery and has already become commonplace. If David Nason, New York correspondent for The Weekend Australian, had wanted to interview a philosopher he would have picked somebody like Jed Clampett or Barney Miller. Jed was Clarence Darrow, Judge Roy Bean and Abe Lincoln all rolled into one. Nothing ever fazed him—not double-naught spies, Ellie’s critters, or Granny’s tonic; he had an answer for everything. Senator Zell Miller (D-GA) has patterned himself after Jed. Barney Miller was more like Erich Fromme with a little Aristotle thrown in. He once said a good suit should last ten years. Anyone who could handle Wojo and Inspector Luger on a daily basis would be more than a match for such pseudo-philosophers as Noam Chomsky or Robert Jensen. With their feet planted firmly on the ground, Jed and Barney would never have praised or made excuses for suicide bombers. If Nason had been looking for an old curmudgeon he couldn’t have gone wrong with Andy Rooney. If he had wanted a radical leftwing firebrand there was Michael Moore and Howard Dean. Unfortunately, what Nason got was Kurt Vonnegut, author of Slaughterhouse Five and Breakfast of Champions. Nason was on assignment and Vonnegut was promoting his new book, Man Without a Country, a collection of anti-Bush essays. Slaughterhouse 9-11 On Social Class, Power, Property, Reification, and Poverty
The ideas of social class, power, property, reification and poverty are inextricably linked by the factor of oppression. All of these things are seen or attained through the oppression and exploitation of one class by another. Social class is a socially constructed idea, usually defined by the strata of income in which one is a part of. Power is gained usually by being in the upper social classes, and also exhibits the exploitationist traits through the method of keeping power. Property is another social construction made to prevent certain individuals from becoming equally as powerful as another by way of preventing them from having the most valuable non-essential commodity. Reification is that which makes the individual part of the collective whole and denies them the ability to be one amongst many rather than one as a part of many. Poverty is the result of the oppressive ruling classes using the other traits in a combination of sorts and then finally ruling the proletariat. Unless you’ve spent the last couple years in a cave, you’ve probably heard of gay marriage, and I’m not talking about Liza’s wedding. That’s right. There’s another minority that has the gall to want the same legal standing and benefits that the majority now has. Now I’ve heard a bunch of arguments on why this is a bad bad thing, and while I don’t agree with any of the arguments against, I thought I’d list them anyway. 1) Gay marriage isn’t necessary; these couples can do everything through an attorney without the need for marriage. Gay marriage Debate Conservatives and Christians in power find liberal tactics appealing
Someone should let Christian conservatives know
they are being cajoled into accepting a paradigm shift.
The "Religious Right" came into politics to restore constitutional limits to the federal government and encourage voters to exercise moral evaluations when choosing candidates for public office. They were motivated largely by the Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade, that declared laws restricting abortion in 37 states to be an infringement on, what has been called, the constitutional penumbra right to privacy. Roe provided a convenient target for the emerging political movement that criticized federal judges with a penchant for "legislating from the bench." Such judges were accused of being allies of liberal social engineers who could not achieve their agendas through elected legislatures. The Republican Party capitalized on such accusations to rally voters in support of their candidacies in ever increasing numbers that the party now seems to have a safe hold on legislative majorities in the nation’s capital and throughout most of the state legislatures. For most people, nothing is more difficult than putting themselves in “other people’s shoes.” Thoughtless, unconnected officials responsible for decisions that effect the lives of multitudes of people are destined to make disastrous mistakes. The classic example is Marie Antoinette’s solution for the bread shortage in Paris: “Well let them eat cake”. Empathy in Disasters may be lacking in Evacuation Plans The Problem with the Republican Party and the Religious Right
I haven’t been a liberal my whole life, but I’ve always had liberal tendencies. When I was old enough to vote for the first time, I voted for Reagan, and then voted again for Bush the First, but during that time I not only became disenchanted with the Republicans but started to see them in an entirely new light. As someone who isn’t religious and doesn’t believe in censorship, the Moral Majority movement and the increasing influence of the Religious Right within the Republican Party concerned me greatly. The final straw, however, was when I realized that the main reason that I was a Republican had to do with taxes, and I didn’t make enough income that anything they did would really have a positive effect on my personal finances. The inflationary cycle that has begun with the reduced supply of oil has exposed the fact that American currency has lost value due to the over abundance of borrowed money saturating the economy. The rampant looting and vandalism that claimed New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina exposed a social abandonment of moral restraint. Countless thousands of people who allowed themselves to be herded from their homes by the government showed a lack of common pride and initiative. The neglect of the government, on all levels, to

By definition legislation usually removes liberty. I believe the lack of liberty has cost us more than our freedom but jobs as well. Lack of liberty has caused American goods to cost more than good manufactured in other countries. Two factors have caused Americans to lose their jobs. First is the cost of regulation: There is a cost to regulation. American employers (and ultimately the American people in general when they purchase American products) must pay for workmans comp insurance, disability insurance, unemployment insurance and the associated accounting involved in those programs plus the income tax withholding, child support collections, college loan collections, etc. Lack of Liberty caused Outsourcing and Loss of Jobs Connecting PNAC, September 11th and Katrina’s New Orleans Damage
Is it absurd to suggest that the political disaster that emerged from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina can be blamed on the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991? That was the moment that the United States suddenly became the world’s "sole remaining superpower", and as such also became, in the minds of many politicos, the "indispensable nation". Those twin titles became a mantra for power hungry individuals who lusted to influence America’s presidency. Connecting PNAC, September 11th and Katrina’s New Orleans Damage
Of all the horrific pictures of New Orleans, the pictures of African Americans are the most troubling and telling. I’m speaking of the pictures showing lawless black men looting and shooting, obese black women trying to walk to safety with their children, and thousands of blacks waiting for the government, or “the man,” to rescue them.
The pictures
show what happens when the government fails to perform its
most important role of protecting life and liberty, and what
happens when it exceeds the role by doing things for people
that they should do for themselves.

New Orleans and the black family Libertarians becoming more Popular in Costa Rica Controlling 10% of Congress
San Juan, Costa Rica—Imagine a US Congress with 10% Libertarians. The latest news is how they’ve cut taxes, stamped out incipient terrorism while squashing proposals to military action, and are moving to fight corruption in immigration that no one talked about for years in the other parties. The country’s prestige is at a new high. New Hampshire has announced it’s studying legislation to enable governmentless Libertarian communities because they’re good for tourism. And even non-Libertarians say they’re doing a good job, offering intriguing less-government alternatives and keeping other parties on their toes. Why, just like Costa Rica, people say. Oh, and most of the Libertarian leaders are Black or belong to other minorities. Compare this to today, where the Libertarians in North Carolina struggle to keep their party recognized under that state’s draconian ballot laws. It’s easy to speculate why the other parties are attempting to marginalize them. Libertarians becoming more Popular in Costa Rica Libertarian Talk Radio Show Explores Controversial Subjects

Athletics and sporting events are, on their face, frivolous diversions from the drudgery of daily life. They offer us opportunities to debate our friends on subjects that do not cause deep offense or thought. If we actually devote ourselves to participating in various sports, they provide their most significant benefit by helping us organize in activities that help us maintain our physical health. Athletics and
sports in America, however, are fueling destructive obsessions. The
inordinate wealth and celebrity garnered by professional athletes is
converting many youth sports leagues into training mills that
initiate career tracks for aspiring child athletes. Such hopes have
helped to birth an industry of training gadgets, sports schools, and
instructional books and video tapes. The desire for athletes to cash
in on their talents has driven demand for chemicals that supposedly
enhance strength and agility.
