Shirley MacLaine interviewed on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'

I'm All Over That: And Other Confessions new book authored by Shirley MacLaine released

(Best Syndication News) - Shirley Maclaine was interviewed on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' today and discussed her new book that she has called “I'm Over All That: And Other Confessions" which is her twelfth book that she had published. She also discussed 2012 and the end of the world, UFO's and her romantic days.

Her new book talks about all kinds of topics. Oprah reads one of the topics with was that she is over being polite to boring people. In the book, she said that she isn't good at small talk and she tries to walk away and she nods and blinks when boring people talk to her. She finishes the section by saying that that she goes into a trance and meditates.

Maclaine continues to shock during the interview with Oprah when she explains that she had love affairs not just casual flings. But then she added that she did try it with three guys in one day once. The audience was shocked and so was Oprah.

MacLaine explained that her ex-husband (Steve Parker) whom she was married to for almost 30 years had an open relationship. MacLaine said that they both had affairs on the side and they didn't have problems.

Oprah asked her about the glamorous old days of Hollywood. MacLaine said that the guys treated her like a mascot. Oprah continued to ask about all her leading men that she was attracted to them. MacLaine said that she wasn't attracted to Jack Lemmon or Jack Nicholson. She said that she liked the dangerous chemistry if it was controllable and added that Nicholson was authentically dangerous. She was attracted to Robert Mitchum, and another man but then she couldn't remember who she slept with. She admitted being attracted to some of the directors.

Shirley MacLaine believes that we could be on the threshold of a new beginning. She said the sense of speed that everything is going so fast that it is hard to keep up with it. Then she continues to go on about how reincarnation is a result of everything you have learned from one lifetime to another.


MacLaine said that the current state of affairs in the world and the news makes her cry. MacLaine explains what she thinks is going to happen in 2012. She said it's not like the movie, but there is going to be an alignment that is with the galaxy and it causes our a change in consciousness and feeling of speeding up and not knowing what to do with it.

Then MacLaine moved on to explain her theory of cosmic drama of what you put out you get back. Oprah said that her foundation of her belief is what you have sent out you will get back. MacClaine added that we could be on the threshold of a new beginning. Maybe she suggests that so many things are challenging who you are as a person. Oprah said that she thinks it is to “awaken to your true self.”

On the next segment of the show, MacLaine invited Oprah into her New Mexico ranch home for a tour. Her home is a large 8,000 acre adobe ranch. She showed off her awards from all the years of acting. She then showed off the expansive views from her home of the mountains. She has a pet dog. She said that she watches the UFO's at her home. Her dining room table was used as a prop in the film 'Terms of Endearment.' She continued to explain more about UFO sightings near and around her house. She lives off the electrical grid and uses solar panels and a wind turbine for electricity. She has a stone walk path that she uses for meditating.


MacLaine told a story of an UFO came hoovering over a friend that was sitting in her hottub at her house. MacLaine said that there are more UFO's in Peru and Mexico. She said that the UFO's look like clouds. The aliens have taught her that the soul doesn't die and they should give up war because it incurs more karma. MacLaine said that you could reincarnate in another planet.

Oprah said that her definition of spiritually is having an open heart and she said she gets so criticized about it. She said that with all the talk about having open heartedness she asked MacLaine if this is an affirmation of what she has been saying. MacLaine said yes. MacLaine said that schools should teach children meditation at an early age to fix the problem. Oprah said that you need to have a great sense of your own self value and you don't have to get it from the outside. MacLaine said something about getting comfortable with yourself for who you are. Oprah added that there is that real self and the ego self. MacLaine said that people are looking to please others and continued to add that you should please yourself. Then she also said something about God being inside her.

At the end of the show MacLaine said that she has learned to surrender to the “very sophisticated divinity.”
